Vanda "Honey" Page

Mrs. Vanda “Honey” Page, daughter of the late Van and Jamae Humphrey, was born November 17, 1941, in Hughes Springs, Texas. She was a graduate of Hughes Springs ISD and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs. After high school, she became a beautician and worked in Hughes Springs for many years.
At the age of 60, she married Charles Page and began a new journey in life. For the last 20 years she traveled by motorcycle to Florida, Mississippi, and Illinois. She also participated in four Hot Rod Power Tours and the Wildflower Trails Parade in various collectable cars. At the age of 80, Honey took her first flight in an airplane piloted by her grandson, Mason.
Honey was a tenacious woman and earned the nickname Ouiser (Wheezer) around town. Not bearing any children of her own, she spent her whole life devoted to her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Vanda “Honey” Page departed this life on January 24, 2022. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her husband, Charles Page; son, William Page and wife Lindsay; grandchildren, Brianna, Graci, and Mason Page; sister, Linda McKinney and husband Bill,; brother, Don Humphrey and wife Kay, Roger Humphrey and wife Judy; sister-in-law, Dona Humphrey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honey was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Humphrey; and nephew, Timothy McKinney.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Baptist Church Hughes Springs.
Services for Vanda Page, 80, of Hughes Springs, will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Woodlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sweet, beautiful "Honey". Although I did not know her personally, I have visited with her at Autumn's shop and at the parades in Hughes Springs. I know my granddaughter loves her very much and always speaks very highly of her and you Charlie. I just want you to know my heart goes out to you and Don and all the family. May God give you peace and comfort at this time and the days ahead.
I have such fond memories of Vanda from my high school days. She will be missed my many. My love and condolences to her family.
So sorry to hear about Vanda. I had the privilege of working with her at the tax office many years ago. She was a special lady and will be missed by many. Love and many prayers for all of the family.
