Vernon "Sack" Wells

Vernon Sack Edward Wells was born in Jefferson Tx, July 01, 1955 to Floratine Dowell Wells and James Pee-Wee Wells. He passed from this earth on April 28, 2014. Sack attended Duncan Elementary School and later graduated Avinger High School. He attended and joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at an early age. He was a devoted and hard worker of Tubeoscope for 15 years before his health failed him. He officially married his long time soul mate Marilyn Neal Wells in July 2003. Sack leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Marilyn Wells of Hughes Springs; his only child LaKeshia Neal Bolden (Ronnie) of Hughes Springs; four grandchildren, Destiny, Isaiah, Trevor, and Trenton Bolden of Hughes Springs; his step-mother, Sylvia Wells of Longview; two brothers, James Chism (Frankie) of Avinger, Devadus Wells (Donnica) of Longview, his father-in-law, Earmon Jr. Neal (Cincinnati) of Pittsburg; eight sisters-in-law, Earmon Montgomery (Theoles Jr.) Patricia Turner, Bonnie Chism (Willie), Jackie Neal (Monte), Billie Hannah (Earnest), Paula Hawkins (Patrick), Yulonda Williams (Caesar), Penny Neal; four brothers-in-law, Tony Neal (Sue), Ricky Neal, Geno Neal (Marvelous), and Michael Neal. He also leaves his caregiver Linda Morrow, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Avinger, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Friday evening at the funeral home.
