Violet Faye Anderson

Violet Faye Anderson, age 90, born September 28, 1929, of Linden, Texas had an appointed time to meet with Jesus, on the Lord's Day, March 22, 2020. She fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith. Violet was a homemaker, unbelievable cook, gardener, student and teacher of God's word, seamstress, caregiver and so much more. She married her love, the late Floyal Raymond Anderson in 1949. They had three daughters. She and Raymond were charter members at Lindare Baptist Church where she served faithfully. Violet was widowed at the age of 51 and remained faithful to him till her death.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyal Raymond Anderson; parents, John O. and Rosie Burns; brothers and sisters-in-law, Travis and Lena Ruth Burns, Bennie Burns, A.P. Burns, Johnny Burns, Patsy Burns; sisters, Bobbie Johnson and Lurlene Lawrence.
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Dianna Faye Moore and husband, Daniel of Doddridge, AR, Sandra (Sandy) E. Mayton and husband Danny of Douglassville, TX, Beverly Jo Brown and husband Vaughan Shae of Daingerfield, TX; ten grandchildren, Dana E. Mayton, Natalie Abernathy, Josh Mayton, Brandi Watkins, Amanda Dundee, Jessica Foster, Bobby Griffin, Jr., Jonathan Griffin, Jessica Wheelington, Zachary Wheelington; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-granddog; three brothers, Lonnie Burns and wife Clarice, Troy Burns, Clarence Burns and wife Vivian, and one sister-in-law, Shirley Burns.
Services will be 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at CenterGrove Cemetery with Bro. Jim Looby officiating and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
