HUGHES SPRINGS-Funeral services for Virgil A. "Jeep" Gardner, 71, of Ore City will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Ore City with Kenneth Mills officiating. Burial will follow at Ore City Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Gardner died Thursday, August 9 in a Gilmer Nursing Home. He was born November 6, 1935 in Austin, a Baptist and was a Truck Driver. He is survived by his wife Kathryn Gardner of Ore City; a nephew John Gardner of Marble Falls, a cousin Barbara McLaren of Ore City; and a great nephew William Gardner, Jr. of Houston. Viewing will be Saturday afternoon and family will receive friends after 6:00 Saturday evening.
