It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Willard Green. Willard died suddenly of a heart attack at the ripe old age of 95 on August 16th in Chattanooga, TN. Willard was born June 18, 1927 to Dick & Minnie Lee Green in Linden, Texas.  After being drafted into the United States Army/Air Force during WWII, Willard was stationed in Southeast Asia. Upon returning home Willard found the love of his life in Erma Lee Hill of Gilmer, Texas. They married and raised four beautiful daughters. Willard spent the majority of his professional life serving in various forms of law enforcement and the construction industry.  He was also a member of the Lancaster Masonic Lodge #160. Willard was preceded in death by his wife Erma Lee Green; parents, Dick & Minnie Lee Green; four of his five brothers, Richard Green, David Green, Frank Green and Clarence Green; and one of his six sisters, Marjorie Hamlin.
Willard was blessed with a large & loving family which included 5 daughters, 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren. He is survived by his five daughters: Barbara Jane Assalone (Andy), Charlotte Beattie, Barbara Ann Bronson (Glen), Patricia Lou Gibbs (Bo), and Erma Diann Jenkins (Glenn); his four granddaughters: Tessa Diann Rodriquez, Shannon Gale Palmer, Stacy Leigh Palmer, and Dena Michelle Beattie; his seven grandsons:  Bradley Glenn Jenkins, Eric Richard Jenkins, Jimmie Wrinn Taylor, Vincent Paul Taylor, Jeffrey Bryan Fatheree, Tyler Jordan Beattie, and Clinton Russell Dean; his 14 great-granddaughters: Kaylee Nicole Rodriquez, Katie Diann Rodriquez, Jaelyn Eleanora Jenkins, Elizabeth Anne Jenkins, Karyn Jade Taylor, Lorna Shaye Taylor, Tabitha Maerose Taylor,  Barbara Gail Taylor, Ashley Brooke Brewer, Sabra Lee Palmer, Brenleigh Micaylor Stephenson, Mary Morris Dean, Madeline Myers Dean, and Sophia Gibbs Fatherree; his 11 great-grandsons: Logan Ray Jenkins, Asher Glenn Jenkins, Ian Vincent Taylor, James Angus Taylor, Shamus Lee Taylor, Rusty Shane Palmer, Ivin Saul Palmer, Cameron Dean Palmer, Luke Fulton Palmer, TJ Logan Taylor, and Mason Brennan Palmer; his four great-great granddaughters: Myla Ryann Jones, Holly Jane Brewer, Adelay Eliese Palmer & Ella Rose Palmer; and his ten great-great grandsons: Kilian Knox Taylor, Paul Martain Palmer, Porter Ray Brewer, Seth Wyatt Brewer, Ivin Red Palmer, Kaysen Lee Burdick, Elijah James Higginbottom, Thaddeus Oaks Palmer, Tyler Hudson Brewer, and Otis Tide Palmer; one brother, Robert Green, five sisters, Corrine Clark, Lorene McCord, Margaret Stock, Patsy McClary & Betty Winchester.
Services for Mr. Willard Green, 95, of Chattanooga, TN, will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 21, 2022 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home.  There will be a time of visitation at 1:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to service time Sunday at the funeral home

  3. Willard was always such a joy be around. I haven't visited Texas, but it sounded like heaven whenever he described it. He was loved and will be truly missed.
