William Bell

William B. Pa Pa Bell, 93, of Douglassville, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in Texarkana, TX. Pa Pa was born August 2, 1920, to the parentage of Burt Bell and Pinkie Vines Bell. He attended Panhandle School and worked as a farmer. He united in holy matrimony on January 4, 1943, to his loving wife Elnora Hatley Bell. He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Amelia Parker and Velma Fields, two sons, Jessie Bell and Billy Bell, three sisters, Joenella Vines Salvage, Rosie Lee Banks and Leona Demons, five brothers, James , Robert and Joseph Vines, Walter Hall, Bob Richardson and Clevester Young. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 70 years, Elnora Bell, his children, Mable Wilson , Willie Bell (Ruthie), Betty Bell, Lydia McGary (P.G.), Rickey Bell, Ruthie Gaston, Sharon Foster (Bob), Gwendolyn James (L.C.), Lashonna Vaden, Tamela Dowden (Johnny) , Shane Bell, three brothers, Willie Vines, Johnny Vines, Charlie Vines, three sisters, Christine Williams, Irene Wormly, Elnora Hill, sister-in-law, Glady Walker (Vernon), brother-in-law, L.C. Hall (Ruth). Mr. Bell had 53 grandchildren, 117 great-grandchildren, numerous great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday November 9, 2013, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Douglassville, Tx., with Pastor Anthony Castleberry officiating. Interment will follow in Panhandle Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. Mr. Bell will lie in state from noon till 8:00pm, Friday at the funeral home.
