He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tracy and Kathy Kirkland of Linden; his daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Bill Corpier II of Jacksonville, North Carolina; two sisters, Ruth Tullos of Conroe and Shirley Smith of Canton; two brothers, Paul Dean Kirkland of Michigan and Roma Kirkland of Houston; and three grandchildren, Shane Corpier, Buddy Whatley, and Rodney Whatley. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Kirkland and Don Kirkland, and a sister, Judy Kirkland.
