Services for Zetha Fisher will be 12:00 p.m. Noon, Saturday February 28, 2015 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Pilgrim Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Mrs. Fisher will lie in state on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Mrs. Zetha Mae Fisher began life her life journey on November 15, 1932 in Morris County. She was the beloved daughter of Esque Stern and Lucile Rivers Stern. She attended Marietta School, Carver High School of Naples, and graduated from J.J. Rhodes High School of Dangerfield in 1953. Zetha accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was a long term member of Eastern Star. She united with Gethsemane Baptist Church and then Mt.Moriah Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. She met Mr. James Coy Fisher Sr. and married. on September 12, 1958. She became a Loving Wife, a Devoted Mother, and a Child Caregiver throughout her life journey. Zetha parents have both preceded her in death. Her husband preceded her in death on February 17, 1988. Two brothers, Ellis Stern of Houston and James (Bunny) Crowe of Houston have preceded her in death. A son, Joseph Samuel Fisher, preceded her in death on August 25, 1962. Zetha leaves to cherish her memories a brother, Will (June) Crowe and spouse Blondell of Dallas. Five children, Gloria Derline Douglas and spouse Charles of Daingerfield; James C. Fisher Jr. and spouse Sandra of Longview; Micheal L. Fisher and spouse Ella of Mesquite; Verta Ruth Brown of Arlington; and Mary L. Fisher of Tyler. There are 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
