Bro. Don Shirley, 71 years, 2 months, 28 days , of Hughes Springs, Texas passed away August 17, 2023 at his home in Hughes Springs. Don was born May 30, 1952 in Pittsburg, Texas. His parents were Joy Ray and Peggy Shirley. 
Don was a God fearing man who loved the Lord with all of his heart. He worked for many years as an auto parts manager. He was the “go to” guy in the auto parts world. In recent years, he pastored East New Hope Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant. 
He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Ann Shirley; his parents; brother, Gary Shirley; sister, Linda Shirley; and granddaughter, Whitney Ann Kay. 
Bro. Don is survived by his three children, Bobbie Sue Odom and husband, Cliff, Tammy Jean Moore and husband Marcus, Robby Stevenson and wife, Lori; ten grandchildren, Brittney Davis, Stephannie Rowland, Hannah Carson, Travis Alphin, Mallory Alphin, M.J. Moore, Michael Moore, Jessie Lewis, Aimee Odom, and Joshua Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren; his beloved dogs, Abbie Gail and Sampson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Services for Bro. Don Shirley, 71, of Hughes Springs, will be 2:50 p.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at East New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation starting at 2:00p.m. until service time.
