Funeral services for Charlene Grider of Lodi, Texas, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2025 at Pinecrest Baptist Church with her grandson, Bro. Drew Grider officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and gratitude for her remarkable life.

Dolly “Charlene” Grider, 91, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Pleasant Hill, Oklahoma, Charlene lived a long and beautiful life devoted to her family. She was the beloved wife of the late R.D. Grider, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years. Together they built a strong and loving family, raising five children who were her greatest pride and joy. Charlene was also proceeded in death by her parents, Isiaah Cape Gibson, Oma Mae Cook; sister Billy York; and grandsons, Jeremy Grider, Riley, Chris Gibson.

Charlene was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and warmth touched everyone who knew her. She loved her family deeply and leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and care that will be carried forward for generations. In addition to her role within the family, she was a dedicated and hardworking employee, spending 25 years with Guard-Line, where she formed lasting friendships and was admired for her reliability and work ethic.

She is survived by her children; LaTresa Combs, Calvin Grider and wife Sandra, Renee Bledsoe and husband Richard, Mike Grider and wife Debra, and Tracy Grider and wife Deanne. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; Stacy, Marcie, Rickie, Dan’iel, Richard, Cody, Rachel, Shelby, Drew, Caitlin, Madison, and Morgan. Charlene also has 28 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren, along with many dear friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

The family asks that Charlene be remembered not with sorrow, but with love and appreciation for the many blessings she shared with those around her.
