Funeral services for Josephine Harris Linwood, 95, will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of Visitation from 6 until 8, Friday evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Linwood was born December 17, 1917 to R. V. and Sarah Harris. She was originally from Ringold, Louisiana, but moved to Avinger, Texas and married Moses Linwood in 1934. She passed away June 25, 2013 at a Shreveport Hospital. Mrs. Linwood leaves to mourn her passing, one son, Douglas Linwood and his wife Mattie; two grandchildren, Marc and Michelle; two great grandchildren, Daylind Linwood and Avery McDavitt; three sisters, Helen Duncan, Linda Youndblood, and Archie Daisy Hewitt; a brother, Charles Harris; and one sister-in-law, Bonnie B. Harris.

Mrs Josephine as she was so lovingly referred too will be truly missed. Her beautiful smile and gentle spirit filled the air when ever she was around, never a cross word passed her lips. I thought of her often but never saw much of her in her later years. Whenever I asked someone who did see her about her they would say she still was the same sweet person. God bless and keep you Mitchell and family..Love ya'll
