Linden TX- Johnny G. Shores, 75, of Kildare, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at his home. He was born September 25, 1937 in Rodessa, Louisiana, to John and Lorene Hensley Shores. He was a retired mill wright from Lone Star Steel Co., a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife, Sissy Shores of Kildare; two sons and daughters-in-law, Pat and Renee Shores of Kildare and Jason and Joyce Shores of Maud; a daughter and son-in-law, Andee and Larry Lightning Price of Linden; a sister, Sharon McDougal of Ft. Worth; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Pinecrest Baptist Church in Linden with Rev. Bryan Baggett officiating. Interment will follow in Kildare Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Friday at the funeral home.

  6. So saddened to know that we won't be seeing Mr. Shores on this side of Heaven anymore. He was such a pleasure to talk to when he came for his MRI and CT follow ups. He fought a good fight and will be missed.
