Winston Earl Smith, 77, of Linden, Texas passed away July 25, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Smith was born April 19, 1943 in O'Farrell, Texas to Drew Allen Smith and Lois Julia Jones Smith.  Winston worked as an electrician for Lone Star Steel for 27 years; he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Linden, and he loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mary Smith of Linden, TX; two daughters, Tonya Wenzel of Linden, TX, Silvia Stroman and husband Brian of Atlanta, TX; two granddaughters, Anglique Sullivan and husband Seth of Bullard, TX, Sophia Wenzel of College Station, TX; one great-grandson, David Winston Sullivan of Bullard, TX; one sister, Linda Capps of Nash, TX; one brother-in-law, Mike Lampo of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one sister-in-law, Silvia Adam of Pirmasins, Germany and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Drew and Lois Smith; siblings, Charles Smith, Betty Foreman, Dugan Smith, Bennie Riddle, Waylon Smith, Joann Joghob, Jearl Smith; one sister-in-law, Sieglinde Lampo and one brother-in-law, Harry Adam.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the First Baptist Church in Linden with Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating.  Burial to follow in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday evening at the funeral home for family and friends to view and sign the registry.
