HUGHES SPRINGS Funeral services for Allene Lewis, 86, of Cason, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 27, 2008, at Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cason with the Rev. Jesse Biles officiating. Burial will be in Shady Grove Cemetery in Cason under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. A visitation will be held Sunday afternoon and evening at the funeral home. Mrs. Lewis was born March 25, 1922 in Morris County and she passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008, in a Pittsburg hospital. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Cason. She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Patsy Jo Lewis and Patsy Ruth Davis both of Cason; Nanette and Larry Epps of Daingerfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Barbara Lewis of Dallas; two sisters, Elizabeth Stewart, Ray Nell Rodgers and a brother, Sammie Spraglin, all of Cason; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Lewis; a son, Simpson Hamilton; and a brother, R.T. Spraglin, Jr.
