Funeral services for Allie E. Chubby Sharpe, 87, of Hughes Springs will be 10 AM on Thursday, September 30th at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Rev. Daniel Bramlett officiating. Burial will follow at Cornett Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Sharpe was born in Cass County, TX on August 20, 1923 to Jack and Otsie Owens Grau and passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010 at a Hughes Springs Nursing Home. Mrs. Sharpe was a member of First Baptist Church and she operated Halls Store for a number of years. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Sandy Sharpe of Hughes Springs; one daughter and son-in-law Paula and Lee Roy Thomas of Hughes Springs; seven grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Paul and her parents, two brothers and two sisters. A special thank you to Donnie Washington for all the loving care she gave. Mrs. Sharpe will lie in state on Wednesday, September 29th and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.
