Amanda "Mandy" Maldonado Foster

Amanda (Mandy) Maldonado Foster, age 42, passed on to her eternal heavenly life on September 25, 2021, surrounded by her beloved family as her favorite praise hymns played.

Mandy was born December 4, 1978 in Tyler, Texas and went on to attend Avinger ISD, where she made and kept lifelong connections with friends, teachers, and the community.

She was a loving wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her relationship and bond with her husband and daughters and embraced every moment with them. Those who were blessed to be in Mandy’s life know that she loved to love on people and always chose to see the good in others. She had a vivacious and authentic personality and spirit and constantly made those around her laugh with her infectious smile and laughter. She made friends everywhere she went and received great joy by sharing her servant’s heart in routinely going above and beyond to help any and every person she encountered.

Mandy shared her fervent love for and faith in Jesus Christ with others, and her life was a living example of the bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” She often quoted her favorite scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6 — “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

Mandy is survived by her devoted husband of twenty years, Lucio Maldonado, of Freeport, Florida and three daughters, Alexus and husband Jorge Quezada of Lindale; Ariel Mariah Foster; and Ciara Maldonado. She is also survived by her brothers, Brett and wife Becky Foster of Longview, Texas and Clint and wife Tisha Foster of Mobile, Alabama, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, whom she adored and remained connected and close. She was preceded in death by her parents Rolan and Betty Foster of Avinger, Texas. All of these she loved and touched deeply.

Please join us in celebrating her life at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Avinger with Bro. James Duncan officiating and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. The family welcomes floral arrangements in her honor and/or donations to her memorial fund.
