Ann Chandler

ann chandler

Oretta Ann Dudley Chandler was born June 12, 1951 in Shreveport, Louisiana. She passed away July 30, 2021.

Ann retired from Cass County Appraisal District and again from Morris County Appraisal District. For many years she was a member of the Texas Association of Assessing Officers.

Ann was full of life, love and trivia and she was always ready for a fishing trip. She devoted her life to those she loved. As much as she loved being Charlotte’s mother, her favorite job was being Nanny to her “Sunshine” and her “Big Ole Sweet Boy”. She was so looking forward to being a Great Nanny in October. She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and the greatest best friend. So many loved ones will miss her many calls just to say, “What are ya doin?”

Ann is preceded in death by her father, T.W. Dudley; and nephew Thomas Rhodes.

She is survived by her mother, Mae Don Dudley of Hughes Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Buddy Aslin of Atlanta; grandchildren, Garrett and McCall Aslin of Atlanta, Raegan Aslin of College Station; sister, Susan Watson and husband Mark of Hughes Springs; brother, Tommy Dudley and wife Gail of Linden; nieces and nephews, Aaron Dudley, Matthew Dudley and wife Kim, Benjamin Watson and wife Allison, Michele Watson, and Anna Dudley; her dog, Oakley; a precious uncle, a host of special cousins, and friends that she considered her family.

Services for Ann Chandler will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Linden with Aaron Dudley officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 pm until 8:00 p.m. Monday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Linden.
