Ann Shirley, 73 years, 6 months, 17 days of Hughes Springs, Texas passed away August 17, 2021 in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 22, 2021 at East New Hope Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, Texas with Bro. Paul Burkhalter officiating. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. There will be a visitation prior to the service beginning at 3:00 p.m. and lasting until service time.
Ann was born January 31m 1948 in Dallas, Texas. Her parents were Margaret Ruth McTaggart and J.B. "Pepaw" McTaggart. She married Don Shirley on November 9, 1979.
Ann loved to fellowship with her family and friends and enjoyed cooking for those who were special to her. She loved to garden and Ann, along with her mother-in-law, made the best lemon ice box pies that were ever made.
Ann loved her Lord with all her heart, mind and soul and she served Him faithfully all of her life. She loved singing and witnessing for her Lord and was the most positive witness for her children and family that she could possibly be.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; and sister-in-law, Linda Shirley.
Ann is survived by her loving husband Don; two daughters, Bobbie Sue Odom (Cliff) and Tammy Moore ( Marcus); son, Robby Stevenson (Lori); 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; cousin who was more like a brother, James David Reynolds; and a host of church family and friends.

So sorry to hear of miss Ann,s passing she was such a sweet christian lady. I remember a few years back y'all came to our revival at Pruitt lake and she sung for us. Such a beautiful voice! Jeff enjoyed working for y'all. God bless you all your in our thoughts and prayers in the coming days.
