LINDEN, TXFuneral services for Ann Wilkinson, 80, of Linden, will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 5, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Linden with Dr. Robert Vaughn officiating. Burial will be in New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home, Inc. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Wilkinson was born March 3, 1930 in Oakland, California, to Louis Bernard and Ruby Williams Stockinger. She passed away April 1, 2010 in a Longview hospital. She was retired from Day and Zimmerman, was a Past Matron of Linden Chapter 576, Order of the Eastern Star, and served as Deputy Grand Matron and Past Grand Representative-Texas to Washington, D.C.; was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles serving as Past Madam State President-Arkansas and currently serving as Southwest Regional Madame President; was a volunteer with the Good Shepherd Medical Center Auxiliary and a member of First Baptist Church in Linden. She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Lynn D. Wilkinson, her parents, brothers and sister. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tommie and Pat Wilkinson of Linden; a daughter and son-in-law, Dona and Kevin Halbert of Tyler; two sisters, Grace Dover and Bernadine Salaices, both of San Bernardino, California; six grandchildren, Kerry Halbert, Hobb, Kimberly, Evan, Ian, and Ben Wilkinson; one great grandson, William Lee Wilkinson; two sisters-in-law, Anita Stockinger of California and Joy Fuller of DeSoto, Texas; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The family has requested that memorials be made to Shriners Childrens Hospital, 3100 Sam Ford Ave., Shreveport, LA 71103; Boy Scout Troop 39, c/o James McDuffie, Linden United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 338, Linden, TX 75563; or the American Cancer Society.

  1. Peace be with you. I first met Ann at International Convention in Reno, Nevada. She was a sweet and very kind lady. Our Auxiliary 3719 of Crystal Beach,Texas of the Fraternal Order of Eagles send their prayers to all of Ann's family.
