Funeral services for Annie M. Denmark Holyfield will be at 10 A.M., Thursday September 1, 2011, at Mount Moriah Baptist Church, with the Rev. Carl Lester Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Moriah Cemetery in Avinger. Visitation will on Wednesday from noon to 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Mrs. Holyfield died August 26 in a Texarkana hospital. She was born May 4, 1938 in Avinger, Texas. She was a member of College Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Texarkana. Survivors include three sons; Thomas Denmark and David Denmark both of Texarkana, (AR), and Alex Connor of Canton, OH; two daughters Raynetta Connor of Texarkana and Deborah Ann Denmark of Dallas; four sisters Mattie Chism, Arlethia Fomby and Linda Denmark of Hughes Springs and Kathleen Denmark of Longview; brothers Freddie Denmark of Los Angeles, CA, Lee Denmark Jr. of Avinger and Lawrence Denmark of New Jersey; two grandsons raised as sons Roosevelt Butler of San Diego CA and Chad Wagner of Texarkana AR;13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.; one special friend May Lee Bradford; numerous aunts, uncles nieces, nephews and friends.
