Memorial services for Bennie Frank Cathey, 82, of Hughes Springs, will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Bro. Gary Stewart officiating. The family will have a time of visitation at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mr. Cathey was born March 25, 1930 and passed away May 23, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Patrick Cathey; and brother-in-law Bill Wright. Mr. Cathey is survived by his wife Patricia Ann Cathey, of Hughes Springs; his sister Bobbie Wright, of Fort Worth; one niece Cathey Farcht, of Arizona; one nephew Keith Wright, Saudi Arabia; as well as numerous cousins and other relatives.

  4. Being Sad, is such a small word for a man that had respect, loved his church, ball games, and will be missed by so many that knew him. But as we know God has his plan and it was best. Not our decision.

  6. Bennie was always there, quietly doing his job. I truly cared about him and his sweet wife and son, and Bennie would do whatever he could to help any of us at HS schools who needed him. All of the family worked in and cared about our school. Pat is in our prayers.
