Services for Betty Jean Taylor, 70, of Ore City, will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Reeder-Davis Chapel under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

Ms. Taylor was born November 29, 1948 and passed away December 12, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Elsie Kelley; and husband, Richard Taylor.

She is survived by her children, Kendra Crum and husband Edge, Krista Gaither and husband Dave, and Joey Jones and wife Lisa; grandchildren, Mathew Maguire, Kourtney McClain, Alicia Colteaux, Jennifer Lampkin, Jonathan Colteaux, Jessica Crum, Kaitlyn Jones, Preston Jones, Kristen Jones, Autumn Jones; great-grandchildren, Mason Stam, Emma Lampkin, Barrett Lampkin, and Cade Johnson; boyfriend and companion, Kerry Wright; sister, Marilyn Hutton and husband Pete; brother, Jerry Kelley; and several special nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Betty Jean Taylor, 80, of Hughes Springs will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 19 at Shelton-Rankin Cemetery in Hughes Springs with Revs. Dan McGuire and Shawn Taylor officiating under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. in Hughes Springs. Ms. Taylor passed away Sunday, August 17 at a Linden hospital. She was born December 15, 1927 in Davenport, OK and was a homemaker and a member of Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law Gene and Francis Taylor of Hughes Springs; two daughters and sons-in-law Betty Carol and David Thomas of Marietta and Sondra and Mitch West of Hughes Springs; three brothers James B. Mitchell and Jimmy Mitchell of Hughes Springs and Bobby Mitchell of Canton; five sisters Vera Bit Cook of Linden, Yvonne Pritchett and Ann Furlow of Hughes Springs, Mary Heard of Mt. Pleasant and Juanita Thomas of Dallas; her grandchildren Ricky and Trudy Taylor, Roger and Diane Taylor, Sharlotte and Jerry Porter, Shawn and Sheri Taylor, Shannon and Brandon Singletary, Jeremy and Rachel Thomas, Kyle West, Ryan West, Keith and Regina Walker and Terry and Mike Hunter; 21 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Thelbert Deb Taylor; one daughter Geraldine Taylor; two sisters Frances Pogue and Maxine McIntyre; two brothers Gerald Wayne Mitchell and Junior Mitchell; and her parents Charles and Vera Mitchell.
