Funeral services for Beverly Kay Allen, 56, of Hughes Springs, will be 10 AM Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Rev. Tim Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Allen was born on June 4, 1954 in Pittsburg, TX to Charles Maxie and Pauline Laverne Leach Hayes and passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Allen was a member of Harris Chapel Methodist Church. She has worked for Morris County District Clerk, North East Texas Municipal Water District, A&A Coating and Hughes Springs High School. Survivors include her husband of 33 years James Allen of Hughes Springs; son Brandon Alan Nix of Hughes Springs; mother Pauline Laverne Hayes of Daingerfield; brother Charles Michael Hayes of California; two granddaughters Courtney Nix and Chelsea Nix of Hughes Springs; one grandson Chris Nix of Hughes Springs; two sisters Marilyn Doruillard and Sharon Johnston both of Houston; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother James Randal Hayes. Mrs. Allen will lie in state on Friday, August 6th and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs. Online condolences can be made to www.reeder-davis.com.
