Memorial services for Billy Joe Boyd, 83, of Hughes Springs will be 1 PM, Thursday, January 27th at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Rev. Larry Neeley officiating. Mr. Boyd passed away Friday, January 14, 2011 at a Hughes Springs nursing home. He was born November 7, 1927 in Witchita Falls. He was U.S. Navy veteran, a Bus Driver in the public transportation system and a Mason. He is survived by his wife Marilyn Ann Boyd of Hughes Springs; two sons Tony Boyd of Green Forest, AR and William Boyd of Hughes Springs; two daughters Tracey Foster of Rancho Cucamonga CA and Anne-Marie Boyd of Temecula, CA; a sister Neldean White of Stanton, CA; five grandchildren; and one great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son David Boyd.

  1. I got to know Mr. Boyd when he was coming into the clinic to see Dr. Mitchell and then with Dr. Simmons. He was such a sweet man who always had a smile on his face. He is definitely a patient that I will remember.My prayers are with you family during the loss of this very sweet man.F

  2. Our deepest sympathy for your loss. I shall never forget looking up in Longview Texas 2 years ago and there stood Mr. Boyd at my daddy's memorial. My daddy, Red Reeme and my Uncle, Joe Reeme, all from Wichita Falls, grew up with Mr. Boyd and loved him like a brother.
