Billy Young

Funeral services for Billy Joe Young, 74, of Omaha, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, with Pastor Theodus Monroe officiating. Burial will follow at Rivers Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, of Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Young was born June 12, 1938 and passed away April 8, 2013. He graduated from Rhoads High School and received a Bachelors degree from Jarrivs Christian College He earned his teaching certificate from Prairie View A&M University. He was an educator at Hirschi High School, in Wichita Falls, for many years until he retired. He is preceded in death by one son, Greg Frazier; and seven siblings, Inez Young Connally, William C. Young, Elsie Mae Arps, Robert Young, Sr., Bedie Young, Jr., Weldon Young, and Robert Young. He is survived by seven siblings, Vivian Young, of Wichita Falls, Alma Young, of Daingerfield, James Hoover Young, of Dallas, Lottie Smith, of Dallas, Henry Melvin Young, of Dallas, Jessie LyDean Eaton (Jim), of Florida, and Lilly Winston (James), of Florida; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
