Mr. Bobby D. Beene, Sr., age 73, of Avinger, Texas, passed away on January 24, 2025, in Longview, Texas. Bobby was born on June 16, 1951, in Odessa, Texas, to Mr. Billy Don Beene and Mrs. Pauline Walls Beene.

Bobby was a dedicated truck driver for many years and found joy in fishing and the great outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his beloved furry companion, “Lucy Lou,” who was always by his side, whether fishing or riding his side-by-side. His family and friends will deeply miss him and his warm, caring presence.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Billy Don and Pauline Beene; his wife, Mrs. Georgia Beene; his stepson, Johnny Vestal, Jr.; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his niece, Heather Beene; nephew, Donald Beene; sister-in-law, Rita Beene; niece, Rita Simmons (Bubba); niece, Debbie Butler (Jerry); and his grandchildren: Kameron Vestal, Kensley Echols, Kaylea Echols, Amanda Jones, Miranda Lowen, and Cassandra Cogburn. He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family members.

Bobby’s kind spirit, love for his family, and companionship with Lucy Lou will leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of those who knew him.Β  There are no services planned at this time.
