LINDEN Funeral services for Bobby Doyle Conley, 76, of Linden, will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at Linden United Methodist Church with Bros. Charles Russell and Don Holt officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in Old Saltillo Cemetery, Saltillo, Texas, under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 10, 2009, from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. Mr. Conley died Monday, March 9, 2009, at his home in Linden. He was born April 21, 1932, in Saltillo, Texas, to Raymon B. and Ovetta Carey Conley. He was retired from Linden First National Bank, former mayor and city councilman of Linden, active in the Linden Lions Club, Linden Youth Baseball Association, a member of the VFW, Linden United Methodist Church, and a Navy veteran. Mr. Conley is survived by his wife, Kathryn Conley of Linden; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Dale Ann Conley and Ronnie and Midge Conley, all of Texarkana, Texas; a sister Barbara Norris and husband, Rex, of Saltillo; two grandchildren, Zachary Ryan Conley and Cade D. Conley of Texarkana; several nieces, nephews and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a half-brother, George D. Payne.
