Bobby Jack Oliver, 68, of Avinger, Texas passed away on June 24, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Oliver was born July 8, 1952 in Angelina County, Texas to Steve and Madiline Oliver. He was a faithful member of Turkey Creek Baptist Church and was always willing to lend a hand to help others. Bobby was an ordained minister and he worked construction for 50 years. His hobbies included fishing, wood working, jewelry making, outdoor cooking, but most of all he loved his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 48 years, Imagene Ferguson Oliver; daughters, Bobbie Anderson and husband, Jason, Christina Huey and husband, CT; sisters, Josephine Renfro and Polly Matthews; four grandchildren, Stone and Madeline Anderson, Katherine and Annabelle Hankins; two great-grandchildren, Leela and Lilith Anderson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Nathaniel Oliver; brothers, Edward Oliver, Charles Oliver and sisters, Ann Hutchinson and Elaine Mosley.
Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 10, 2021 at Turkey Creek Baptist Church and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
