HUGHES SPRINGS-Funeral services for Bonnie Lee Caperton, 76, of Hughes Springs will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Tommy Estes and Larry Neeley officiating. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Caperton will lie in honor Sunday afternoon and evening and the family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. She died Friday, July 11, in a Longview hospital. She was born April 6, 1932 in King Junction, Arkansas. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church, and she proudly enjoyed supporting her grandchildren in their sporting and academic endeavors. She also enjoyed the local Senior Games Group at the community center. Her favorite charities were Juvenile Diabetes Association, Cypress Basin Hospice and her church. Mrs. Caperton is survived by: two daughters and sons-in-law Brenda Sue and Mike Nix and Tina and Terry Immel; two sons and a daughter-in-law Sput Caperton, all of Hughes Springs and David and Kitsy Caperton of Dallas; one brother and sister-in-law Robert and Jere Moffett of Morgan City, LA; and nine grandchildren: Jeffrey and wife Heather Caperton of East Mountain, Jenny Caperton of Pittsburg, Josh Caperton of East Mountain, Dr. Melissa Nix of Sulphur Springs; Robbie Nix of Conway, AR, Kyle and wife Elizabeth Caperton and Kelli Caperton, all of Dallas, and Trent and Todd Immel of Hughes Springs; and one great grandchild Caleb Caperton of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her husband William, her sister Glenda Mae Newsom and her parents Ila and Glenn Moffett.
