Brenda Easterling

Brenda Sue Easterling, 55, of Omaha, Texas, passed away on December 15, 2025. Born on January 9, 1970, in Mount Pleasant, Brenda was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be remembered for her unwavering love, quiet strength, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures.

Brenda found deep happiness in spending time with her beloved granddaughter, Miah. She had a heart for children, a fondness for old country music, and a love for crocheting and video games. Her favorite moments were those spent surrounded by family, especially during the Christmas season, which held a special place in her heart. Throughout her life, Brenda faced many health challenges, but she carried them with grace and a hopeful spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Wayne Vaughan and Frieda Gilmore; her brother, Cecil Wayne Vaughan; and her sister, Sylvia Vaughan.

Brenda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Elizabeth Easterling; her cherished granddaughter, Miah Easterling; her husband, Donald Easterling; her sister, Jamie Browning; her brother, Jerry Vaughan and his wife, Cindy; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date, and she will be laid to rest at Friendship Cemetery alongside beloved family members.  Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
