Guestbook

  1. Life is but a Stopping PlaceLife is but a stopping place,A pause in what's to be,A resting place along the road,to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys,Different paths along the way,We all were meant to learn some things, but never meant to stay…Our destination is a place,Far greater than we know. For some the journey's quicker,For some the journey's slow. And when the journey finally ends,We'll claim a great reward,And find an everlasting peace,Together with the lordAuthor unknown

  2. I enjoyed the years we got to work together at Austin Middle School. I will always remember Brenda as a highly professional teacher and coach – dedicated to her work but always had time to be nice to others.

  3. Brenda was one of the first to welcome me to Austin Middle School. I feel blessed to have known and worked with her. She is missed. Prayers for her and her family.

  4. It was a pleasure working with Coach Speights. She was a hard-working individual that I respected in this short amount of time. She'll be missed.

  5. I pray the peace of God that passes all understanding over your hearts and minds. I worked with her for many years @ Austin M.S. and she is the aunt of two of my cousins, Ashley Speights and Tyesha Speights.

  6. To the entire Pepprs and Speights families, our hearts are with you as you go through this time of pain and sorrow. Just know that

  7. God sits high and looks low… Brenda was the epitome of what an educator was all about. Educaion was her ministry as she touched thousands of lives by imparting knowledge and values to her students and co-workersl. Your light will forever shne through the lives of others. 12. I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Brenda. I have not seen Brenda in many years but remember the wonderful and fun visits I had with her and her family, upon my arrival from California visiting with my sister Laverne. It is gratifying to know that Brenda had a wonderful and fulfilling life as a wife, teacher and coach. God bless her husband Alfred, father H.C., brother Billy and all of her/our family who can find comfort in knowing another Angel will be watching over them.R.I.P. Brenda! We love you but God loves you more!!!

  13. My daughter is a confident and successful young womam because of Coach Speights. When Brenda coached at Vincent Middle School, Annie had just transferred to public school. Private school had not been a good experience for her. Brenda saw leadership qualities in her and offered a tough but nurturing athletic environment for her. When Annie made her wedding list three years ago, her number one invitee was Coach Speights because even at 27 years old, Annie still respected and appreciated her. Coach touched the lives of hundreds of young women during her career. My husband and I had the opportunity to tell her that more than once. Let all educators continue her legacy.

  14. January 23 I lost a friend and a mentor. From the very first time we met Coach shared her wealth of experience in coaching and teaching with me. I think her favorite line was "let me share something with you." I will treasure all that you have shared with me and will do the same to others that cross my path. The will of the Lord is done and my you find peace in God's house. To Al and the rest of the family may God bless you in you time of sorrow and allow you to move on pass the void that has been left in all our lives. Be blessed.Coach Jackson

To the family of Brenda Speights, I am sorry for your loss. I know God has a bigger and better plan for Coach Speights. I will continue to pray for your family during this time. God bless you.
