LINDEN Funeral services for Bret Edmond Lawless, 50, of Linden, will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 20, 2009, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden with the Revs. Buck Newsome and Ed Lawless officiating. Burial will be in New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 2009 from 6 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home Mr. Lawless died Sunday, March 15, 2009, in Abilene. He was born October 14, 1958 to Rev. Ed and Mary Lou Lawless in Olney, Illinois. Mr. Lawless studied astrology and wrote poetry, he was an auctioneer, raised dogs, was a trader at the Canton First Monday Trade Days and at the age of 12, he had his own merchandise in his parents store. He was a non-denominational Christian. Mr. Lawless is survived by his daughter, Tonya Kirby and her husband, Tracey, of Alba; his parents, Rev. Ed and Mary Lou Lawless of Linden; one brother, Jeff Lawless and wife, Colette, of Atlanta; three sisters, Brenda Washington and husband, James; Renee Eaves and husband, Deriek, and Diane Nimmo and husband, Keith, all of Linden; six grandchildren, Christopher Kirby, Tyler Kirby, Cora Kirby, Summer Kirby, Ty Kirby and Trent Kirby and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
