I am so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person as Pete. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your. I can not tell you how much Pete meant to me. He was so proud of his 3 boys and always loved telling me how they were doing. He also let me know how much Pat meant to him and how much he loved and admired her. He was my friend for over 40 years and always made me laugh and put a smile on my face. He faith to the Lord was unwavering and that always impressed me about him. We talked regularly the past few years and I am glad that we did. I will miss our talks and I hope I will see him again, Pete you were the greatest friend a guy could have.
My thoughts and prayers are with you,it will not be the same around HS without him. He was always happy and a very good man. I will miss him. May God be with all of you.Love,Penny Hunt
Ms Pat, PJ, PM and Preston; My heart breaks for you. I pray for you and lift you up in this, your time of need. Bro. Pete was a special man and will be missed by ALL. Love to you all.
Bro. Pete I have always loved you and Mrs. Pat dearly and as I sit here and think about you , I cant imagine if youre dribbling a basket ball down the streets of gold, playing table tennis, or down by the river reeling in the big one with Bro. Gaylon. I would say swinging on one of the 12 pearly gates, but I dont think you were in Texas quite that long. π But whatever it is you are doing up there I know you sure will be missed down here by many people in your family and the community alike. You and Mrs. Pat will always have a special place in my heartWith Love, Jeremiah Thomas
Pat, My God give you comfort during this time.
My dear little brother Pete – YES, you were the "baby" in the family, but you were always wiser than your years, and an example to me, the "older sister" — that I might know the power of God and the true meaning of salvation in Him as you taught me the joy of resting in His love. You have always been my spiritual brother before my natural brother. You didn't "demand" my respect as a sister — you "earned" it early on in life by being who you are. I do not feel I should "light a candle" in this message to you, because you WERE that candle in the wind, always blowing the Holy Spirit's power on every person's life that you touched. You were His "eternal candle" of optimism, seeing the good and potential good in every single person God created in this world below. You knew who a person COULD be once they trusted in Jesus, and until then? You never let them go, and you saw them as He sees them! You fulfilled His destiny for you, and He called you home to His eternal glory. "Well done, His good and faithful servant!" May my life be an example of His great power and love, first and foremost because of the God we both love so much, and then in sincere honor of your memory, as I continue on my earthly journey. One day I will look at your dear face again, knowing we will be never be apart from each other from that day forward! In the meantime, I am proud to be called your sister, and will always treasure our talks, when I needed you as a "Pastor," a "Counselor," and sometimes just a "Friend" with a listening ear! I will miss you, but am happy your pain is over. A little eight year old girl in my church once asked Jesus what Heaven is like. She said that He told her, and I quote: "It is whatever you need and want it to be!" For you, my brother? It will be a time to run and play all the ball you want to play, and an endless table of your favorite foods to enjoy! But what will it be for you most of all? It will be talking to the Lord you served for all of your years! Enjoy eternity, and know I look forward to spending it with Jesus and with you!
He was there when I was born, performed my wedding, and was there at the birth of my daughter. He was my pastor for all 23 years of my life. When someone like Bro. Pete passes away, they take a piece of your heart with them. The only thing that replaces the missing piece of my heart is the peace I have knowing I will one day see him again. Bro. Pete has always been a hero of mine and I miss him. I love him and his family as my own and always will.
I am so sorry for your loss. Bro. Pete was a wonderful man and I always looked forward to chatting with him in the office.
We send our deepest sympathies to you, Mrs. Pat and your family. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Bro Pete was a wonderful man. He will greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Bro. Pete. Bro. Pete was a remarkable man of God. Whenever we would sit and talk at the Volleyball or Basketball tournaments he would always talk about his ministry, his family(especially the boys) and the love for his church. He always had a kind and encouraging word for me as a coach. He will definitely be missed by all who came in contact with him. He was a blessing to us all.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
So sorry for your loss, such a caring man.
ur thoughts and payers are with you. PM Daniel will try to see you in he next day or two if he can get off early enough but his thoughts are with you too.
John 3:16
We are so very sorry to learn of Bro. Pete… But what a day to join Our Lord… I do pray for Him to give all of you the strength and courage you need for the days to follow. May HE be with all of you in this time of sorrow.. The Reid Family
Bro. Pete was a wonderful servant for the Lord, and also a respected servant of the student athletes in Northeast Texas. He will be greatly missed, but lovingly remembered. He was always my choice of officials druing the state play-offs.
Dear Aunt Pat, I just wanted tell you how encouraging it was to come down Sunday and see how strong you are in your faith. I'm glad your faith In God to know he is in control is going to help you and the boys through this rough time. See ya soon Uncle pete,Bryant
I'm really going to miss talking with Pete before and after games, and sometimes during games. He was a great guy.
Pete: You are the best friend I ever had. You are the most spiritual person I've ever met and if there was ever a person who is going to enjoy Heaven it's you. I love you and I'll miss you and look forward to seeing you in Heaven!Ron
I am honored to have known Bro. Pete. He is a great role model in service to God and fellow man. I think it appropriate that he passed on the day of his Lord's Ressurection because I know he is at Jesus' side.
First and foremost, Bro Pete was such a devout shepherd and follower of Christ. He was cheerful and his personality was infectious. This carried over into his passion for being a referee and ultimately into his love for working with children. He will surely be missed by me and I am so blessed to have known him.
I was shocked to hear of Bro. Pete's home-going. I got to know him in the early 90's while I served on staff at First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant. He provided officials for the church basketball league we hosted. One day I jokingly complained about the quality of the officials. He told me he wanted to see me at the next chapter meeting if I thought I could do better. When I didn't show up he told me he EXPECTED me to come to the next one. I did and have been officiating basketball ever since, now at the Division II collegiate level. It all began with Bro. Pete's challenge. He was a godly and gracious man who reflected his Savior in all he did. I counted it a privilege to call him a friend.
Dear Pat, PJ, PM and Preston, My heart goes out to you all in the loss of Bro. Pete. He was a good man and is greatly missed. Only God knows why Bro. Pete was meant to go so young, but He must have needed him in Heaven. We have enjoyed friendships with your family personally and through our boys and will cherish that always. Love and prayers to you and your family. God bless you and comfort you.Love,Beckie, Justin, Keith & Andrew
Were do I begin? I was 8 years old the first time I met you and Miss Pat. I was eager to babysit PJ,Bro.Pete thought I was a little young so I had to wait until PM was born. Then it just seemed that anytime I could you would allow me to babysit.I did not realize for many years how at that time you guys were sharing the Lord with me without saying a word! You guys were showing me how a married couple and parents are to act according to God. I was so proud when he called me his "adopted daughter" that meant that I was blessed to have 2 amazing men that loved me and the Lord in my life. I am very sad that they are both gone but am very joyful that they are together in Heaven.I am looking forword to seeing both in Heaven. Bro. Pete keep daddy company until I get there!!
So sorry to hear that Bro. Pete is gone, but Glory to God he is gone to a better place.I have fond memories of Bro. Pete.
Dear Pat and Family,My heart broke when I heard of Pete's passing. He was so much like a brother to me. We had so much fun during the times I was growing up and he was over with my brother. How I use to tease him over his "sexy" legs, and the way he loved his food. When you came into his life Pat, you were truly his blessing. He loved you so much and then his kids were his heart as well. He will be sadly missed for he was a true angel on this earth. I know the pain you will feel because I too continue to miss my husband as he passed 3 years ago. Know that God is good and loving and that HE will help you through all the days ahead. May God ease your pain and Bless you during this difficult time. All my love,Patti (Hanuschak)Pasquale(Rick's sister)
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.Robert, Sarah & Cooper Ellison

I just want to let you know how very sorry I am about your father. I am out of town and could not come by to sign in person. He was a good and lovely man. Love to you all,Mrs. Bradshaw
Uncle Pete you will be so greatly missed by so many people. It touches me to see how much love people have for you and how many lives you have changed in your years of ministry. I'll never forget all the fun memories we shared, but most of all how even when you were sick you called me and asked me how I was feeling and to tell me you were praying for me. You always put God first, your family second and yourself last. You are an amazing man and I am lucky to have had the honor of calling you not only my uncle but my friend. Love always.

TODAY IS THE DAY THE SHELL OF A GREAT MAN WILL BE LAID IN THE GRAVE..This is'nt the day he'll no longer be here , that day would be April 4th ,2010 of this year.. His voice was carried throught out the land. Heard by many a woman ,child and man.. Those who heard him and then recieved, the message from the messenger that day he did see. From those that recieved and went on to tell another ,they were waiting to meet their dear christian brother.. Bro Theo ,Ann and Bill Fleenor, his Mama ,his sisters ,his nephew and yet more. Just as the song "Thank You" relays ,many were there to say THANK YOU April 4th Day.You are so loved and look forward to seeing you again on the other side of Jordon..
