Carla Arlene Collins, lovingly known as “Crafty Carla,” passed away peacefully at home in Ore City, Texas, on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at the age of 57. She was born on September 26, 1967, in Dayton, Ohio, to Pete and Arlene Stancel Crawford.

Carla had a passion for crafting, especially sewing and creating homecoming mums that brightened the celebrations of many local students over the years. Her creativity extended into her work as a sales consultant for Paparazzi jewelry, where she enjoyed sharing beautiful accessories with others. A lifelong fan of The Wizard of Oz, she cherished the movie’s timeless message of love and belonging. She also enjoyed staying connected with family and friends through Facebook, always keeping up with the latest news and sharing moments of joy.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 28 years, Frank Jones; her brothers, Tony Collins and Loren Crawford (wife Andera); and her beloved nephews, Tommy and Dameon Collins, whom she raised as her own. She also leaves behind her cherished bonus step-children: Marcellius Morton, April Jones, Christopher Jones, and Cameron Jones, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Carla’s kind heart, creative spirit, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.  There are no services scheduled at this time.  Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
