Carolyn Denise Simmons was born January 15, 1970 in Lone Star, Texas. Her parents were L.C. Simmons, Jr. and Linda Simmons. She accepted Christ at a young age and was a current member of Living Green Baptist Church in Pittsburg, Texas. She lived and grew up in Hughes Springs, Texas. She was a member of Hughes Springs High School; graduating in 1988. She attended Wiley College where she earned a certificate as a Teacher's Aide at Hughes Springs High School for several years.She worked at U.S. Steel for 17 years.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father; her brother, Kendrick Simmons; grandfather, L.C. Simmons, Sr.; grandmother, Lorene Simmons; and uncle, Winfred Simmons.
She leaves to cherish he memories; her mother, Linda Simmons; son Danny Terry, Jr.; daughters, Lakendria Simmons, Regina Everett, and Malayah Everett; brothers, Erick Simmons and Greg Simmons; sister, Shameca Mathis; and a special friend, Johnny Hashaway.
She was blessed to have so many nieces, nephews, cousins and extremely close relatives and amazing friends who will also miss her so much.
Services for Carolyn will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Hughes Springs Community Church in Hughes Springs. Burial will follow at Mt. Pilgrim Cemetery in Lone Star under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
There will be a time of visitation from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.

Linda, words cannot express just how sorry I am for the loss of your precious daughter. I can't say that I know your pain because I haven't experienced the loss of a child.only God can heal and deliver you in your time of sorrow. He can strengthen you as you go through this trying time so remember to look to Him for strength, peace, and comfort and He will see you through.
