Funeral services for Cassandra "Cassie" Driggers, 23, of Hughes Springs will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, October 6 at Hughes Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Larry Neeley, Dan McGuire and Tommy Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs. Cassie was born November 17, 1984 in Longview. She was a 2003 graduate of Hughes Springs High School and a 2007 graduate of University of Texas in Tyler. She was a Project Analyst at Chicago Bridge and Iron in Tyler. Cassie is survived by her mother Sally Driggers of Hughes Springs and her father Frank Driggers of Lone Star; her maternal grandmother Bennie Rhyne of Hughes Springs; paternal grandmother Betty Jane Craddock of Lone Star; uncle and aunts Jim and Brenda Driggers of Pittsburg, Lorell Barron of Arlington and Glenda Wallace of Longview; cousins Jamie and Andy Cody, Misti and James Scaggs, Stephanie and William Mitchum, Jason Driggers and Chelsea Barron; second cousins Madalyn and Tyler Scaggs, Lena Cody, and Alex Mitchum. She will lie in state Sunday afternoon and evening and family will receive friends from 2:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cassie Driggers Scholarship Fund.

Cassie, I am sorry that I could not be there… I was in San Antonio with the military getting ready to deploy again… You know I would have been right by your side to the end holding your hand, telling you that its gonna be okay. I never stopped loving or caring for you I hope you know this… You are a great friend and an even better girlfriend… I am glad that we met by chance and that we took a chance on each other despite our lives being 2 hours apart.
