Charles Bullard

Mr. Bullard died Thursday, May 4 at a Longview hospital. He was born June 17, 1922 in Golden, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of South Union Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion, a Lone Star Steel millwright.for 29 years, a member of Texas Baptist Men’s Disaster Unit, and he worked after retirement at Bailey’s Ace Hardware in Daingerfield. He is survived by his wife Louise Bullard of Daingerfield; one son and daughter-in-law Bobby and Glynda Bullard of Marietta; four daughters and sons-in-law Nancy and Harry Campbell, Betty and Ivan Coussan, Sherry and Dewey Croley and Cindy Scarborough, all of Daingerfield; two step-sons and daughters-in-law Edgar Owens of Hughes Springs and Valton and Kathy Owens of Crosby; three step-daughters and sons-in-law Velma Blackwell of Daingerfield and Linda and Eddie Sampson of Channelview, and Patricia Owens of Lone Star; two brothers Virgil and Juanita Bullard of Greenville, and Andrew and Pauline Bullard of Winnsboro; three sisters Juanita and Olan Dykes of Winnsboro and Mary Francis Nicholson of Winnsboro and Doris and QJ Smith of Winnsboro; 24 grandchildren; and 37 great grand children; He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers Leonard , Alonzo, James and Odis Bullard, three sisters Velma Goolsby, LaVern Winchester and Ruby Coston, and by the mother of his children, Earnestine Bullard. Mr. Bullard was one of 13 children of John Luther and Mamie Maye Connor Bullard.
