Charles "Charly" Moore

Graveside services for Charles F. Charly Moore, 76, of Hughes Springs, will be at 10 AM on Thursday, July 16, 2009 in Reeder-Davis Chapel with Rev. Betty Richardson officiating under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Moore was born on June 5, 1933 in Chillicothe, TX and died on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at a Longview hospital. He was in the US Army Field Artillery. He was and a retired truck driver, as well as an honorary member of Chillicothe FFA, a Golden Glove Boxer, a Professional Bowler, a Professional Football Player, played The Green Bay Packers with Vince Lombardi and The Dallas Texans. He was also a Baptist. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law Tommy and Sandra Moore of Daingerfield and Joey Moore of Phoenix, AZ; one granddaughter Brett Ashton Moore of Daingerfield and two grandsons Travis Charles Moore of Daingerfield and Joseph Moore of Australia; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Moore in 2007. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 15th and the family will receive friends from 6-8 PM at the funeral home in Hughes Springs.
