LINDEN Services for Charles Lynn Harrod of Midlothian will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, February 24, 2008 at New Colony Baptist Church in Linden. Burial will be in New Colony Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 12:00 PM Saturday. Mr. Harrod was born October 30 1933 Linden. He died February 22, 2008 in Midlothian. He worked as an electrician for the City of Dallas and was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents Herman and Erbye McDuffie Harrod and a brother, Roland Marnel Harrod. Survivors include his wife, Frances Harrod of Midlothian, three sons and daughter-in-laws, Randy and Susan Harrod of Dallas, Richard and Jennifer Harrod of Palestine, and Kerry and Donna Harrod of Arlington; a brother, Gene Harrod of Mt. Vernon, four grandchildren, Jennifer Preston, Emily Harrod, Alexandra Harrod, and Jason Harrod; two great-grandchildren, Allison and Cody Preston and numerous other relatives.

Charles was one of second fathers, I had quite a few. When my sister, Susan, married Randy he became one of the family. I will miss him dearly but I know I will see him again. I know he is heaven with my parents, Brother Paul, Bill Massey and Jesus and having a wonderful time. Frances I love you and know you are always in my prayers.
