I am very sad to hear of Charles' passing. He was always. Such a great person. Remembering him. From our days at Linden Kildare High.
Charles and I met in 1981 in Little Rock through Scouting and became good friends. He invited me to go hunting in his hometown of Linden and we spent numerous weekends there until a few years ago. It was great for our families to become friends and spend some time together. I will always picture Charles in the out of doors in a deer stand or duck blind and can't imagine him gone from this world. He was a dedicated volunteer in Scouting and I have never admired or respected anyone more than Charles. Any time that I might spend in the woods from now on will include my memories with Charles. God Bless Lynn and Chuck and Ashley and their families. I will cherish his friendship and memory.
Charles and I were inseparable in our youth. We roamed the woods, were in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts together, built our own log cabin, had a pet alligator that we released at the creek, went water skiing with our girlfriends, ate blackbirds that his nanny cooked for us, and both played trombone in the high school band … you name it, we did it … together. As our careers took us in different directions, we kept in touch, even if not very often, but we always held our memories in tact. Though I'm saddened that his declining health took him away much too early, I can't imagine him dwindling away in some empty, lonely room, unable to be out in nature. I look forward to the day when once again we will meet in the great hereafter.
Mr. Reynolds family and friends, we are sorry for your loss. Isaiah 25:8 tells us that God will actually swallow up death forever and will certainly wipe the tears from all faces; that is certainly a comforting hope as there is abundant proof that the promises of Almighty God come true which provides us with hope.
Charles was a good friend and ultimate outdoorsman. I will miss Charles and the many days we spent hunting (and eating) together. I will always cherish memories of him and all the good times we experienced. Though we're all saddened to lose Charles, we can take solace in knowing he is no longer suffering. Becky and I are thinking of you Lynn, Chuck, and Ashley. May God bless you and give you and your families comfort and peace.
So very sad…Charles was a guiding light for the LKHS Class of 1963. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I am very sorry I will not be able to be there today to celebrate a life well lived. Sue (Reese) Robinson
Lynn and Family, You and Charles have been such special, valued friends since our earliest years. I shall remember him always with great fondness and admiration for his many excellent qualities. I can just hear that cute chuckle he gave us so regularly, can't you? I love and respect you very much – not only for our 6 decades of enduring friendship but also for how you have gone above and beyond to give every possible comfort and service a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and educator can provide to those near and dear to her. In your present sorrow and adjustments, please don't hesitate to take the support you need from us, your abiding friends. We are there for you, and I know your wonderful children, your devoted sisters, and Jesus our Lord are all there for you also. In love and sympathy, Sue
