Funeral services for Claudine Ford, 76, of Avinger, will be at 2 P.M. Monday, Jan. 25, at First Baptist Church in Avinger with the Rev. Bob Crowder officiating. Burial will be in Bear Creek Cemetery under direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. of Hughes Springs. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Ford died Jan. 22, 2010 at a Longview hospital. She was born April 14, 1933 in Avinger to Mancle Milton and Vada Hodge. She was a Baptist and she also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. She is survived by: one daughter Pam Dunning of Keller, Texas; two sons and daughters-in-law Ronnie and Jackie Ford of Avinger and Jason and Robin Ford of Keller, Texas; three brothers and sisters-in-law Bobby and Melba Hodge of Linden; Ernest and Linda Hodge of White Oak and Tom Hodge of New Boston; two sisters and a brother-in-law : Reba Alsip of Irving and Edris and Doug Maddry of Shreveport; six grandchildren Nathan Dunning, Matthew Ford, Jeffery Ford, Tyler Ford, Ashlyn Ford, and Nolan Ford; six great grandchildren: Bryton Dunning, Ryker Dunning, Samantha Ford, Parker Ford, Sarah Ford and Joseph Ford and another great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Henry Ford. Memorials may be left in the Claudine Ford Memorial Fund for the preservation of Bluebonnet Knoll in Avinger at First State Bank of Avinger Condolences may be left at www.reeder-davis.com.

  2. We were so shocked to hear of Aunt Claudine's passing. She was such a big part of this family. Please know that you have our deepest sympathy and that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

  3. We were not prepared for this news.We will miss Aunt Claudine. Her house was usually the first place we would stop when we got to East Texas.May she rest in peace.

  4. Even though I didn't know her very well, she will be missed. I remember her from the couple family reunions that I was able to make it to. I wish I'd been able to make it to more. Rest in Peace Aunt Claudine.

  5. Although I was only able to meet Claudine a couple times, I will miss her. She is my great aunt and I have wonderful memories of her at the family reunions. God bless!
