Funeral services for Ms. Cynthia Staner, age 59, of Daingerfield, Texas, will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2024, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of viewing and visitation with the family one hour prior to service time Sunday at the funeral home. Ms. Staner passed away at her home in Daingerfield, surrounded by her loving family, on Saturday, November 16, 2024.
Cynthia was Born on March 16, 1965, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Ann Townsend and the late Melvin Ray Townsend, Sr.
Known for her ever-present smile, warmth, and kindness, Cynthia brought happiness to everyone around her. She faced life with resilience and joy, never once complaining, and was always a source of positivity. A devoted mother, daughter, and friend, she held her loved ones close, finding great joy in spending time with family and friends.
Cynthia adored animals, especially her chihuahuas, and found peace in her favorite hobbiesβdiamond art, crocheting, puzzles, and cheering on her favorite wrestlers. She dedicated over 33 years to medical billing and coding, where her expertise and caring spirit touched the lives of her colleagues and clients alike.
She is preceded in death by her father, Melvin Ray Townsend, Sr., and her grandparents, Leona and Monroe Townsend, Sr. Cynthia leaves behind a devoted family to cherish her memory: her mother, Mary Ann Townsend; her beloved sons, James Derek Townsend and wife Ayanna, and Hunter Staner; her six grandchildren, Ja’Keyvion, Lyrek, Joshua, Jaxson, Ja’Kadence, and Jenesys, who brought her immense pride and joy; her sister, Cheryl Townsend; her brothers, Randy Townsend and Melvin Townsend, Jr.; and a host of extended family and treasured friends.
She was a very sweet and kind person. She will truly be missed by all.
