"It will be worth it all when we get home." Funeral services for David H. Floyd, 64, of Tyler, formerly of Daingerfield, will be at 2 P.M., Wednesday, May 28, at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with the Revs. Tommy Oglesby and Don Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Veal Switch Cemetery in Daingerfield. Mr. Floyd will lie in honor Tuesday afternoon and evening, and the family will receive friends after 6 p.m. at the funeral home. Viewing will be for family only. Mr. Floyd died Sunday, May 25 at a Tyler hospice. He was born November 18, 1943 in Atlanta. He was a Baptist, a Texas auctioneer, a musician (specializing in bass guitar), and he worked many years for T&N in Lone Star, before becoming an installer for Pet Smart stores nationwide. He is survived by his wife Sarah of Tyler, formerly of Daingerfield; his daughter Lynette Floyd of Tyler; his son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Shonna Floyd of Union Grove; his father Hugh Floyd ; two sisters Sarah Jones and Suzann Young; and one brother Don Floyd, all of Daingerfield; two grandsons Cooper and Hunter Floyd of Union Grove, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Geneva Floyd.
