Services for Dawn “Tugie” Nichols Lile, 64, of Lone Star, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 30, 2023 at Iron Bluff Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 until 8:00 Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Dawn Renee “Tugie” Lile was born July 26, 1958 to Glen and Mary Nichols in Beaumont, Texas. She passed away at her home in Lone Star, Texas on June 27, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Tugie leaves behind a loving legacy, survived by her husband Jim Lile of Lone Star, her cherished fur babies Odie and Lola, her daughter Sheila and son-in-law Dennis Roach of Overton, her sons Steven Mott of Lone Star and Logan Lile of Daingerfield, her brother Jeffery Nichols of Lone Star, her grandchildren Coltin, Sofie, Hamilton, Whitley, Eltalee Dawn, Piper, Chandler, and Kooper, her nieces Tabitha Holland and Amber Nichols, her great-nephew Grayson, and a multitude of extended family and friends.
Tugie’s infectious love, unapologetic personality and vivacious spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her. She embraced life whole heartedly, without judgement, radiating vibrant colors and patterns. She danced to her own unique rhythm, unafraid of being herself. She believed there was no such thing as “over accessorizing” and that there could never be “too much” jewelry. Tugie loved fiercely.
In her honor, let us smile and celebrate the beauty of life, just as she would have wanted us too.

I love you with all my heart and I will miss you so much. My world has been shattered and what a privilege and honor to have been your brother. Thank you for always being there for me and for always watching out for me when I needed you. Give mama and daddy a great big hug for me, I will never forget you, May God hold you until we meet again. Love forever, your little brother.
Forever greatful for the last bit of memories we were able to make, blessed to be such a spitfire like you & nana were and thankful you got to watch me grow into the woman I am today. Nana and pa knew they needed someone to keep them laughing & on their toes in the sky, and I know that’s exactly what you’re doing. All my love, Amber.

Oh the memories of you being my neighbor and having Sheila as a friend. You were just a sweet lady and always had that smile on your face. See you in heaven one day.
Condolences to all. God spread for healing and comfort.
I worked many years ago with Toogie. Also baby sat many moons ago for her and Kelley. Sweet lady. Family will be in our Prayers.
You also might be the only person that I know that thought doing the dishes was fun! I am still not sure if you loved the dishes that much or if you wanted to make us love doing the dishes! Grateful that you were in my life and I am looking forward to seeing you again one day!
I’m so sorry to hear of your loss Jim. I’m praying for you and your family
