Donnie Crowe

Donnie Stoker Crowe was born May 21, 1914 to the late John Wesley and Birdie Bailey Stoker. She was married to the late C.W. Crowe and to this union, one child was born. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter, Jo Birdie Crowe Montgomery, and her stepson, J.C. Crowe. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Hattie Edwards, Ophelia Montgomery, Sallie Wesley and Eddie V. Johnson and her brothers, Howard, Asa, Edward, Clinton, Frank, and L.B. Stoker. She was a lifelong member of New Prospect Baptist Church, Harleton, Texas, where she was faithful until her health failed. She enjoyed cooking and singing. She sang with the group called the Soul Sisters. She leaves to mourn, one brother, Emmitt Stoker and friend Francis Morrow of Ore City, Texas; one sister, Elsie Rockwell of Houston, Texas; one daughter-in-law, Martha Crowe of Diana, Texas; one son-in-law, Lee Earl Montgomery of Jefferson, Texas; one stepson, Jessie Turner Crowe of Louisville, Kentucky; stepdaughter, Connie Mae Crowe of Dallas; Texas; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; three sisters-in-law, Mary, Hershey, Bessie, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
