Dorothy Jean Hickson
April 20, 1937 ~ January 27, 2021
Dorothy Hickson was born April 20, 1937 passed away January 27, 2021. She was a member of the Linden Seventh Day Adventist Church. Dorothy was a loving mother, grandmother and she loved her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Etta Tidwell; husband, Don Hickson, Sr.; four sisters and three brothers; daughters, Brenda Hargett, Dianna Sitton and one son, Kevin Hargett.
She is survived by her children, Jerry Hargett and wife, Brenda, Terry Hargett, Donna Hargett, Elizabeth and husband, Scott, Billy Don Hickson, Don Hickson, Jr. and wife, Susan, Floyd Hickson and wife, Phyllis, Douglas Hickson and wife, Renee; sisters, Bernice Foster, Debbie Wadsworth; 49 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren and her large family of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends of the community and her church.
Services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Linden Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Ernesto Illingworth and Bro. John Taylor officiating. Burial to follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.
