Services for Douglas Lyndon Hall, 75 of Naples, TX will be 11:00 am on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow at Dennis Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service.

Mr. Hall was born February 2, 1942 in Hughes Springs to W.O. and Frances Leo Hall and passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at his home in Naples, TX after a brief struggle with lung cancer.

He grew up in Hughes Springs and graduated from Hughes Springs High School.  Doug then served the country he loved by joining the Air Force.  He moved to the Dallas area where he worked for the Veterans Administration.  After moving back to his boyhood hometown, he built his own home.  He became an employee of Red River Army Depot and proudly worked on the Patriot missile.  Doug later met and married the love of his life, Carmen.   The two of them relocated to Germany for several years, travelling extensively to other European countries.

Doug loved gardening, politics, his dogs and his many grandchildren.  He was great with his hands and loved to tinker with everything from small electronics to cars.  We loved Papa Hall and will miss him terribly.

He is survived by his mother; four children and their spouses, Lyn Hall, Jackie Hall, Angela & Ron Foster, Jason & Tammy Hall; 6 grandchildren, Harrison Foster, Lindsey Foster, Amelia Foster, Carly Foster, Katlyn Hall, and Christopher Hall.

He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Clifton and Jerry Lynn; and wife, Carmen.
