Funeral services for Dr. O.C. Bradley, Jr., 84, of Hughes Springs will be at 10 AM on Monday, January 18, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Hughes Springs with Rev. Mickey Rorex and Rev. Dan McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Dr. Bradley was born on November 18, 1925 in Port Neches, TX to Oscar C. Bradley, Sr. and Inez Bradley and passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2010 into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior. Dr. Bradley was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in Port Arthur, TX and a graduate of East Texas Baptist College in Marshall and Baylor Dental School in Dallas. He was a World War II veteran serving his country as a Marine, a member of First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs where he served as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. He was a member of Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, and the American Legion of Hughes Springs. He served as a Scout Master for 15 years, and served on the Hughes Springs ISD School Board for 9 years and served as President of the First District Dental Association. He practiced Dentistry in Hughes Springs for over 50 years. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Mary Lynn Pratt Bradley of Hughes Springs; one son and daughter-in-law Charlie and Tresa Bradley of Hughes Springs; one daughter and son-in-law Judy and Chris Hitzelberger of Hughes Springs; three granddaughters Jessica Bradley, Terrace Bradley and Brianna Morrow; three great grandchildren Erik Haynes, Eyan Bradley and Garrison Cook. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 5 PM on Sunday afternoon at the Christian Service Center at the First Baptist Church of Hughes Springs where the family will receive family and friends.

He was one of the finest Christian Gentlemen and Human Beings that I have been fortunate enough to come to know in my life. He was my dentist and friend from the time that I was three years old. I can truly say that I never heard Dr. Bradley say a cross word or a bad thing about anyone. His loss leaves a void in my soul. May God Bless You All now and in the difficult days ahead.   17. My dearest brother, I miss you every day when I am struggling with the lost of both you and our beloved Bill. Losing one of the brothers make the loss of another one twice as difficult. I know we will all be together again in the glory of our heavenly Father's home but I grieve until then. Please know that I love you all but with a little bit bigger part of my heart to Bill. I miss you, George and Bill just a laughing and telling stories. Guide me in the right path while I remain on earth and greet me when I finally come to call. Love always Mary.
