Easter McDonald

Funeral services for Ms. Easter McDonald, 79, of Marshall, Texas, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.  Burial will follow at Mims Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.  There will be a time of viewing from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

Litta Easter Ford, age 79, was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a woman of strength, love, and faith, whose presence brought warmth and comfort to all who knew her.

Easter was born to the late Josie Mae Ford and Eddie Ford.

She was preceded in death by her sister Eddie B. Ford, brother Roger C. Williams, her son Earl McDonald Jr., her daughter Gwendolyn McDonald, and her grandson Javance Wade.

Easter leaves to cherish her precious memory her son Steve McDonald, daughter Earlena McDonald, and sister Gloria Ford of Marshall.

She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Brandon McDonald, Dekoshia McDonald, Jaida McDonald, and Steve McDonald Jr.; her great-grandchildren DaVeric, DaMoneya, DaMyjai, Dream McDonald, and Jordan Alexander; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Easter’s  life was a true testament to love, resilience, and faith in God. She faced life’s challenges with courage and grace, always finding strength in her faith and in the love she shared with her family. Those who knew her will forever remember her kindness, her laughter, and the way she made everyone feel special and cared for.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know and love her.
