LINDEN Funeral services for Emilia Hinojosa, 91, of Linden will be 2 PM, Monday, April 9, 2007 at First Baptist Church of Linden with Bro. Jackie Stanfield officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, April 8, 2007, from 5 to 7 PM at Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kildare Cemetery, Kildare, Texas. Mrs. Hinojosa was born in Harlingen, Texas, to Theodoro and Elvira Chavaz on July 1, 1915 and passed away Friday, April 6, 2007 in a Texarkana hospital. She was retired from Glenn-Garrett Clinic and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vidal Hinojosa, Sr., and her parents. Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Vidal and Maxine Hinojosa, Jr., of Arcadia, LA; Albino and Kandis Hinojosa of Ruston, LA; and Tony Elvis and Jennifer Hinojosa of Olive Branch, MS; two daughters, Mary Jane Moreno of Linden; and Evelyn Hinojosa of Cedar Park. Grandchildren and their spouses include Yvonne and Tom McKaig of Corinth; Yvette and Mike Turnbaugh of Henderson, KY; Michelle Leigh and Ken Crockett of Grand Prairie; Michael and Wendi Hinojosa of Freeland, MI; Gretchen and Brian Richardson of Madisonville, LA; Jeramie and Carol Hinojosa of Tyler; Greg Hinojosa of Houston; and Shawnee Moreno of Dallas; Rey Hinojosa and Romulo Hinojosa both of Cedar Park; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and 4 sisters.

Dear Family,I am so very sorry for you great loss. Mrs. Hinojosa played such an important role in my life and that of my family throughout the years that I feel as if we have lost a favorite family member. The qualities I admired about her are too numerous to list. I'm a better person because of her and feel blessed to have had her as my friend. I loved her and will miss her, but I'll never forget her.
